2020 Signature Requirements for New Party Recognition in Arizona

In order to be recognized in the State of Arizona, a political party must submit the Secretary of State a minimum of 31,686 valid signatures.

Our Goal: State Recognition of The Independent Party

We all thank you for your interest, your passion and purpose. The first step in creating the Independent Party of Arizona movement is to get us to become recognized by the State of Arizona. 30,894 Arizona signatures are necessary as of 2019.

Here’s what the Arizona Secretary of State website has to say about the process:

Create a New Political Party

  1. Register a New Party Committee
  2. Submit Statement of Organization to Secretary of State (in process)
  3. Circulate Petitions (signature pages) – where YOU come in!
  4. Submit Petitions along with the affidavit of 10 qualified electors
  5. Secretary of State verifies signatures

We know there a many who would like to help, but may not know how. Just click on your county of residence below and download your signature form. Make copies of the first page for collection of signatures. Make sure you fill out the Qualified Electors form and email a copy to us.
Send copies to your friends, patrons and community leaders where possible. Make sure all the information is complete, legible and legitimate. Signing within the lines is important, too. No digital signatures are accepted at this time, unfortunately.
We have to be transparent and provide valid Arizona signatures. We need a new party. Contact us if you would like ideas for distribution and collection of signatures… it could be as easy as a click away. Return of documents need to be originals. We will have an address for you to send them to by the time you are done.

For now we need physical Arizona signatures. We’ve contacted the Secretary of State and requested the option for digital signature, since it is already available for party candidates who with to run. Think positive!
